A new growler shop opened just down the road from me. I must admit, a small part of me is quite jealous. I have been dreaming about jumping on the craft brew bandwagon and either starting a micro brewery, or opening a growler shop myself. Regardless, I could not be happier to have a place to go to grab a fresh, craft brew.
The 32 oz growler of Finch’s Secret Stache Stout (above) cost me about 6 bucks. Prior to purchase, you can sample the taps for about 1$ each to make sure you like what you get. They also have specials.
The staff has been great. I have usually interacted with the owner Ernesto, but even when I haven’t, it is easy to tell he knows how to run a business. He is open to suggestions, easy to talk to, and is very personable. I have only visited 3 times since they have opened, and they already remember my name.
If you live in the Woodstock, Georgia area and like craft beer make sure to stop by Dogwood Growlers and get some beer from Ernesto. He runs a really great, local, family owned business with awesome, local craft beer.
